AcrePin shades 2,179,457 acres of public land across Oklahoma's 77 counties, with private parcel lines and owners of record on the same map. That makes it easy to see where a wildlife management area ends and private land starts.

Public land you can't just walk onto
Some land on the map is public but not open to the public. 730,981 acres is state school land that the Commissioners of the Land Office lease to private lessees, mostly for farming and grazing: you need the lessee's or the Land Office's permission to go on it. Military bases and tribal land also have their own access rules, for example Fort Sill, McAlester Army Ammunition Plant, Kenwood Indian Reservation.

Where the data comes from
Public land: USGS Protected Areas Database of the United States (PAD-US) and State agency land layers listed on the map, including the Oklahoma Department of Wildlife Conservation's WMA boundaries and the Commissioners of the Land Office lease layer. County lines: U.S. Census Bureau TIGERweb county boundaries. Acres were calculated on November 6, 2026. Boundaries are a guide, not a survey: look for the posted signs on the ground.
